Joseph Montinaro
Chef Joseph Montinaro teaches the Frozen Desserts portion of PreGel's 3-day Introductory Gelato class. Entering the bakery world at a young age, Chef Joseph worked closely with his father in his bakery, West Finch Bakery. In 1999, Chef Joseph took over the family business and revolutionized the pastry shop - bring it a modern twist while still maintaining its Italian traditions. He expanded with a high-end pastry shop in Kleinburg, ON in 2007 and named it "Dolcini by Joseph."
Since 2005, Chef Jospeh has been doing demonstrations at the Sigep Convention in Rimini, Italy and has taken a wide array of pastry, gelato and chocolate courses throughout Europe and Canada. Chef Joseph has travelled extensively through Central and North America, as well as parts of Europe. Chef Joseph loves going out for good food, fishing and spending time with his family.
